Praha Zoo: Trip #2…

Image

Today, Wes had the day off and the weather was ideal for another trip to the Zoo.  Instead of the boat, we took a tram and then a bus. This time we saw almost everything!  This zoo is way bigger then Woodland Park and they have some interesting varieties of animals.  Wes mentioned what a different zoo experience you get here.  The idea that these animals are wild and sometimes dangerous isn’t really presented at this zoo.  I could easily hop a small fence or log and skip around amongst many potentially dangerous and deadly creatures.  We actually saw a little girl fall into the duck pond.  But, because of this ‘closer’ experience to the animals… we got to see so much today… it was great!

They had American and European Bison.  I love Bison!

Camels!

We liked this tiger because he reminded us of our dog Si… they way he slept on his side.  Wes said he wanted to give him a massage!

Emmett took a train ride… all by himself.

I love this Bull.

A very pregnant goat… she might have three in there!

I was so in love with this mural in one of the buildings.  It was incorporated into the exhibits too.  It is so simple and beautiful.

I might have to do this in Emmett’s room one day!

In addition to Camels, Bison, Tigers, Birds, Owls, Gorillas, Elephants, Zebras, Giraffes, Lizards, Snakes, Turtles, Wolves, Emus, Goats… we also saw a naked girl stand and pee in the wading pool (that’s when we decided to get out) … AND two more kids take dumps in the grass.  Europe is a little more relaxed when it comes to doing your business in public.  It was funny and weird at the same time!

  1. Hmmmm, think I’ll stick with Woodland Park, at least people don’t take “dumps” on the grass.:)
